Cataract surgery with toric IOL corrects astigmatism in post-corneal transplant eyes
Cataract surgery with toric IOL implantation improved visual acuity and corrected astigmatism in eyes that previously underwent corneal transplantation, according to results of a study.The retrospective case series included 26 eyes of 25 patients who underwent corneal transplantation and subsequent cataract surgery with toric IOL implantation. The mean interval between corneal transplantation and cataract surgery was 7.9 years.
