Corneal collagen cross-linking yields long-term stability with post-LASIK ectasia

In cases with corneal ectasia after LASIK, corneal collagen cross-linking produced long-term stability with no significant side effects, according to study findings.The retrospective study included 20 eyes with post-LASIK ectasia treated with corneal collagen cross-linking. Main outcome measures of the study were uncorrected (UDVA) and corrected (CDVA) distance visual acuities, spherical and cylindrical refractions, and simulated keratometry (K) values. Mean follow-up was 42 months.
