VIENNA ― At the European Society of Ophthalmology meeting, Norbert Pfeiffer, MD, discusses the latest studies showing that while not all ocular hypertensive patients are at risk for developing glaucoma, treating patients with ocular hypertension at higher risk of developing glaucoma is able to prevent progression to glaucoma. Some of the criteria used to determine high risk are older age, patients with higher IOP, and higher cup-to-disk ratio.
