Be My Eyes app receives technology award

Be My Eyes, a free app that helps people who are blind video call sighted volunteers for visual assistance, won the accessibility award at the AbilityNet Tech4Good awards, according to AbilityNet.
The Be My Eyes app was launched in 2015 and has more than 1 million volunteers who assist more than 82,000 people who are blind or have low vision in 150 countries. The app is available in 180 languages and can be downloaded on both IOS and Android platforms.
