Compact Imaging has signed a collaboration agreement with Novartis Pharma to develop a home-based monitor to detect progression of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, according to a press release.
Using Compact Imaging’s MRO (Multiple Reference OCT) technology, the home retinal monitoring device is expected to provide a simple and affordable way for patients to monitor themselves and for information to be transferred via the cloud to physicians, the release said.
