Pinhole pupilloplasty, or PPP, has been described as a surgical technique to enhance the visual and image quality in cases with higher-order aberrations. The concept behind performing PPP is that a pinhole effect is created that helps to channel the rays of light through the central pinhole pupil as it bars the entry of light rays emanating from the irregular peripheral cornea.
