Risk scoring system helps predict patient nonadherence to glaucoma medication

A statistical risk assessment system was reliable in gauging the probability of patients’ noncompliance with glaucoma medication dosing instructions, according to a study.A predictive model for nonadherence was created based on the Travatan Dosing Aid (TDA) study, which included 196 patients being treated once daily with prostaglandin eye drops. A separate cohort of 407 subjects from the Automated Dosing Reminder Study (ADRS) was used to test the predictive model.
